製品説明
American Vintage IIは、音楽の歴史を変えた革新的なエレクトリックギターとベースを、極めて正確に再現したシリーズです。当時の仕様を忠実に反映したボディシェイプ、ネック、ハードウェア構成、プレミアムなフィニッシュ、そして年代別にヴォイシングされ細部にまでこだわり抜いたピックアップを搭載し、本物のFenderクラフトマンシップとトーンのエッセンスを凝縮した一本です。
Jazzmasterは発表当時、「フェンダーが培ってきた技術を結集し、あらゆる利便性を備えたギター」として宣伝されました。贅沢な演奏体験を提供し、ジャズギタリストをソリッドボディのエレクトリックギターに向かせることを意図して開発されたこの未来的で快適なオフセットモデルは、当時ジャズギタリストの間で主流だった箱型のアーチトップとはまったくかけ離れた、突拍子もないものとして大衆の目に映りました。そのような背景から、このギターはジャズギタリストには受け入れられなかった一方で、60年代のサーフギタリストに予想外に人気を博し、受け入れられるようになり、その後、インディーロック、オルタナティヴ、カントリーミュージックといったジャンルのプレイヤーの間で絶大な人気を得ることになったのです。
1966 "C"シェイプのメイプルネックを採用したAmerican Vintage II 1966 Jazzmasterは、21本のヴィンテージトールフレットを配した7.25インチラジアスのラウンドラムローズ指板を備え、まるで1966年に舞い戻ったかのような、当時の楽器の演奏性を彷彿させます。ホワイトネックバインディング、パールブロックインレイ、Fender Deluxeチューニングマシン、そしてカスタムカラーモデルにはマッチングヘッドを備えるなど、1966年生産のJazzmasterの特徴を纏ったギターとなっています。特許取得のフローティングトレモロ、スレデッドサドル式のアジャスタブルブリッジ、リズム／リード回路に配線されたPure Vintage ཾ Jazzmasterピックアップが、クラシックなトーンとオーセンティックなフェンダーのフィーリングを提供します。

Pure Vintageピックアップは、各年代のトーンを再現するために特別にボイシングされ、フェンダーの黄金期のピックアップと同じ構造になっています。素材には、クロスカバードワイヤー、ファイバーボビン、アルニコマグネットを使用しています。
VINTAGE-STYLE HARDWARE
ブリッジからストリングツリー、チューニングマシンに至るまで、American Vintage IIハードウエアの全てのパーツは、オリジナルと同様の外観、サウンド、機能を持っています。また、そのハードウエアの多くは、50年代、60年代のフェンダーが使用していたオリジナルの機械で製造されています。
