The relationship between LUNA SEA bassist J and Fender Custom Shop reached a major turning point with the official endorsement contract in 2019. Moving on from the instruments he had used for many years, J embarked on a new challenge, and his collaboration with the Custom Shop has continued to deepen ever since. Symbolizing this is a signature model crafted by a world-renowned master builder.

J's model is based on a reverse-headstock Precision Bass and features a one-piece maple neck. Its vibrant body color produces a bold tone, and he has chosen two colors: "Black Gold," inspired by the vintage '70s motorcycles that influenced him, and "Champagne Gold," named after his song "Champagne Gold Super Market." Both models display a variety of different expressions under the stage lighting, embodying the fusion of artistry and craftsmanship.

This newly announced limited edition model, crafted by master bassist Greg Fessler, will be produced in limited quantities. Based on the traditional Precision Bass, it features a PJ-style Jazz Bass bridge pickup. The finish is a striking King's Red Sparkle. The dignified finish achieved through the heavy Heavy Relic® aging process and the rarity of this made-to-order instrument elevate it to a special presence that transcends the bounds of mere instrumenthood.
