Hand-wound by Fender Custom Shop Master Pickup Winder Josefina Campos, Dual-Mag II Strat® pickups combine Alnico 2 and Alnico 5 magnets to produce a tone that combines sparkling, clear highs with balanced, rich lows.

Strings 6 through 3 use unchamfered Alnico 5 magnets, while strings 2 and 1 use hand-chamfered Alnico 2 magnets. Each pickup is wrapped in copper shielding tape to reduce noise.

This pickup set features a custom staggered pole piece height, featuring a "low G magnet" for a smooth transition from wound strings to plain strings. The Alnico 5 pickup under the third string uses a shorter magnet to bring out the string's exquisite resonance, while the Alnico 2 magnets on the second and first strings are slightly higher than vintage specifications, providing a balanced volume between the strings.

As its name suggests, Dual Mag II Strat® pickups utilize two different magnets to deliver a clearer, more balanced sound than ever before.
